The 4th Annual Reckless Kelly Celebrity Softball Jam 2012 will embark on Round Rock on April 22, 2012 featuring performances by Reckless Kelly, Micky & The Motorcars, Bo Bice, Wade Bowen, Charlie Robison, Kevin Fowler, & Cody Canada and The Departed.  More artists are still going to be announced in the coming weeks.

  • VIP: $20
  • General Admission: $15

Tickets purchased after April 1, 2012 will be:

  • VIP: $30

About the Celebrity Softball Jam:

Since 2009, over 12,000 people have attended the Celebrity Softball Jam and in return over $65,000 have been given to Central Texas area non-profit organizations to help renovate Little League Baseball fields and also provide funding for The Miracle League.  The Miracle League is a sports league for children that have special needs.

You can bet that I am starting to save up now so we can get out to Round Rock for the Reckless Kelly Celebrity Softball Jam on April 22nd!

Texas CountryTexas Country Thursday: Josh Abbott Band’s My Texas

I was “born and bred” as I like to say in Texas and it has been said that if you were to start your trip off from the center of the state you will drive six hours in any direction and still be in Texas.  I can vouch that this is true!  Even starting a trip from Houston, to visit family (in Missouri or Arkansas) takes us just over six hours to get to the border.  Guess that’s why they also say that when you come to Texas, you stay here! ;)   With that in mind, this week our family has been cruising down the road listening to Josh Abbott Band: My Texas (feat. Pat Green).

My Texas is all about Texas Pride and all the great places that this state has to offer!!

Check it out!

About this series:

Music has always been a huge part of my life and now the music tradition is being passed on to my boys.  They love all types of music, all the way from Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr. to the most current dance music playing on the radio.  Recently, we became HUGE fans of Texas Countryand have been going to as many concerts as possible within the good ole budget!

Purchasing CD’s can get very expensive and besides that who buys CD’s anymore?!?!  With the invention of the iPod, MP3, Zune, or even apps on your smartphone; music is so easily downloaded.  For the last 6 months, my husband and I have been building our music library with the help of Amazon. Amazon offers songs from as little as $0.69 – $1.29 each so that price fits right in our budget.
