Frugally Thrifty reader, Sonal had a great question in regards to the H-E-B coupon policy and stacking the yellow in-store coupons with manufacture printed or insert coupons. Because others may have this same question, I feel it is best to share the answer with all of you!
Question: Ocello sponges are $1.70 with in store coupon at H-E-B this week, can we stack $0.75 off pdf manufacturer Q along with that?
Answer: When it comes to stacking coupons at H-E-B, it all depends on the type of yellow in-store coupon that is marked on each one. The yellow in-store H-E-B coupons can be found on the isle near the products featured in the savings or on the wall of coupons near the front of the store by the registers. Near the bottom left corner of these coupons will be a box with a specific “type” which will tell you whether the coupon can be stacked or not. These coupons will be marked with:
- Type M for Manufacture as a manufacture sponsored savings
- Type B for Big Savings as a store sponsored savings
- Type S for Store Savings as a store sponsored savings
Depending on which type is marked in the small box on the yellow in-store coupon will determine if the coupon is able to be stacked. The yellow in-store H-E-B coupon are generally marked with a “M” and because the additional savings is sponsored by the manufacture; these CAN NOT be stacked with another paper or printed manufacture coupon. The other two (2) types of yellow in-store coupons that are marked with at “B” for Big Savings and “S” for Store Savings CAN be stacked with a printed or paper manufacture coupon.
Below is the excerpt about the guidelines for coupon stacking from the H-E-B Coupon Policy online:
H-E-B will combine store sponsored yellow coupons with manufacturer coupons for the same product:
- One (1) manufacturer issued coupon and one (1) H-E-B issued Store-sponsored (Type S)
- One (1) manufacturer issued coupon and one (1) H-E-B issued Big Savings coupon (Type B)
